Shared folders enable you to send and receive files, such as images, from other members on ModelFolio. So, if you've worked with a photographer, they can now send the edited images to you via your shared folder rather than via a CD.
How do I upload?
To access a shared folder between you and another member, go to your message/conversation page with them and click the "Shared Folder" link above the message box. A new page will open, which will list all of the files in your shared folder with that member, and you can upload files by clicking the "Add Files" button at the top left of the page.
How much can I upload?
The idea behind Shared Folders was to replace the sending a CD part of TFCD, to make it quicker and easier for the people involved in a shoot to exchange photos or other works. Because of this, there are no "hard limits", but we ask that you're respectful with how much you upload, and do not use the system as a back-up for your entire image back catalogue.
Can anyone see what I'm uploading?
No, the contents of the shared folder are only viewable by you and the person you're sharing with.
How long will my files stay in the shared folder?
If either of the members in the shared folder are TopMembers, the files will stay there indefinitely, but if both members are Free members, the files will be deleted after 30 days.
What file types can I upload
You can upload the following file types: jpg, png, gif, txt, rar, doc, docx, ppt, pptx, xls, xlsx, pdf, psd, html. If there is another filetype you'd like to see added, please contact us.
Normal rules for content upload apply for the shared folders, so, you must not upload content that you do not own the copyright or have presentable permission to upload.
