Lately I have been influenced by the "flaws" in natural occurrences such as chewed leaves that oftem make intricate and interesting patterns and shapes.
My inspiration for creating images primarily comes from exploring the Appalachian mountains and the neolithic ancient sites of Ireland and the British Isles (Stone Circles, barrows, Roman antiquity, Celtic culture).
Currently I'm working on a number of drawings with image content such as stone circles, historic Celtic culture, Celtic "dryads" or tree spirits, "Aristotelian" nude figures posed in forests, and other portraits and figures.
I'm also an amateur photography and I primarily shoot pictures of images as art references for drawing my concepts.
I intend to keep on exploring new artistic concepts and I'm hoping I can engage in creative "symbiosis" with other models, artists, and photographers. Smile
My educational background:
BFA (Fine Arts) primarily in drawing and printmaking such as intaglio
BA (History) Renaissance, Reformation, Art History, Medieval Europe and England
MS (Geography) Concentration in Cartography (mapping) and Geographic Information Systems
