Since I was a young child I have been fascinated by photography. I was taught how to develop black and white film and to make prints in a darkroom by my father. His interest in fashion grew in me. I added to it my interests in music, dance and theatre whilst I worked in galleries and museums around the country. I devoured both the knowledge and techniques of some of the greats in British photography, learning first hand from some of my heroes.
Without wanting to be associated with one particular genre of photography, I have fused styles and inspirations from some of the great artists through to the pioneers of photography and to those who continue to define the medium today. Landscape is as much a part of my repertoire as fashion, portraiture and documentary.
My first experiences with photography were with black and white film. It has remained close to my heart throughout. I like to feel that I have found a balance between working with film and with digital that satisfies those who see and buy my work and services, and that drives forward my creative aspirations.
