When I read in forums like this about models asking how to promote themselves or make more money I am always very puzzled!
Why because it very easy to do all you need two things.
Firstly a sets of good photos.
Secondly be prepared to write something about what you are wearing and why.
I do not mean face book or even Twitter, a proper web site even if you use a blog back-end if you are not interested in web programming.
It's true to say the more effort you put into it the more your get out that's the same with every thing.
I know for my own small efforts a few years ago how it's done when I created a web site for a vintage model the members only part of her site in the first month earned her £100 the second month it was £120
Oh yes and my other pin-up site promoting a few vintage dressed lades and two model, I made the mistake of not telling them they were getting 300 unique visitor a day. comparing that to a site run by one of the top vintage photographers who was according to his counter reviving 10 visitor a day
Another way of looking at this is if you are lucky enough to be published, some one things you got sometime that interests a lot of people, why not do it yourself and get more than just the price for a photo or words for the price of a dress.
If you want more proof then why not find my own blog do not look at what I do but what the others who I follow do and of course make money or get a lot of PR from what can be describes as just photos and text about clothes fashion and style.
A little hard work, some good photos and it just waiting for you to grab it today.
