I wonder if anyone else would agree that it's the FACE (sorry for shouting), and the expression it wears that lies within that makes/breaks a shot, whatever genre the pic might be that lifts the shot?
What I mean is - the Model's ability to produce any look on demand: happy/sad/ angry/aggressive/submissive/ wistful/longing, etc, etc?
