It has always puzzled me that some people seem to feel that models should passively wait to be approached by a photographer in order to find work. On an interactive site such as this, where there is a very good search system, I'm puzzled as to why models don't input a search for a tog within a few miles radius, look at their work, feedback and profile and select a couple they like the sound of and drop them a line.
Are they afraid of being looked upon as being too pushy, or what? As a model have you approached a photographer first? As a photographer have you had models contact you first? What sort of results did you both get? Just curious.
