Being fairly new to this I have tried to book models direct and either had no response or shoots not materializing even when rates and a MUA are on offer. I haven't placed a casting call yet as the number of casting calls that are posted and response rate appears to be a further waste of time. It's very much a catch 22 situation models wont work with you or respond as you aren't good enough and you can't get better without practice.
