I've always thought that of all "styles" or levels this was the most contentious, since although the words people use are all generally the same, the way they interpret them seems wildly different. (So "wildly" is maybe a bit of an exaggeration, but you get the idea.)

At least that's what I used to think. But then I did a search of the images on this site, selecting just "Implied Nude" work style with no other filters, and got a major surprise. For a start, it's by far the most common category of image on here, which on the face of it seems unlikely. But then, looking at many of the images it appears that the "implication" is that if the model took all their clothes off they'd be nude, so somehow this must be an implied nude!

Or maybe I've just been getting it wrong for years :)

I know sticking an image in one category or another is frequently tricky. I think very carefully about the categories I attach to my images and even if you think I've mis-categorised something I've done it honestly. Clearly there are many others who take the same pains. But it appears to me that for a lot of people "Implied Nude" is the default category of choice, and I'm now kinda curious to know why? If anyone can enlighten me I'd love to know!
