I went to recharge my Bowens Travelpak batteries after last weekend's outdoor shoot. As soon as I plugged the charger into the power socket there was a flash and the charger is fried. I looked at the cost of a replacement - £90!!!!
Now I have 2 Travelpaks so in theory there's another charger lurking somewhere in the house. I've spent 2 days trying to find it - no luck. I've even emptied the shed which is not a task to be taken on lightly.
So, what are the chances that as soon as I place an order for a new one the spare will turn up at the bottom of a knicker drawer or something?
