Any computer experts out there?

Now I've got some down time, I'm looking to build another PC, specifically to deal with Lightroom and Photoshop. I have an eight core CPU currently, quite an old one I guess, and would want to go for Intel as I'm led to believe they work better with Adobe gear, maybe an i7? I have 16gb RAM now, and want the option of doing this again, with an option to go 32gb. Currently running two sandisk 240Gb ssd's and not certain if windows 7 (which I'm fairly happy with) will transfer across or if I need a new OS too?

I use usb 3 a lot and it'd be good to have connections for this to the cabinet front or top, and some capacity for what I believe is 6Gb MOB connections? I'd like a graphics card which won't have to be disabled in Lightroom too (my current one is switched off) Alos want plenty of dust filtered ventilation options and fan space ideally.

Anyone been down this path recently with bright ideas?

PS - Put this in general chat as we don't seem to have an obvious 'Gear' forum!?

So, most importantly, and good ideas for the MOB/CPU combo that'll allow a degree of future proofing and upgrade potential?
