Blocked!

Yes, I finally used the "block" feature of this site

Didn't feel too good about it but I had enough.

Whether MUA, model, photographer, whatever, amateur, semi-pro, seriously experienced pro, I think we all owe each other a basic level of respect, and we all surely aspire to uphold certain standards of behaviour.

One model, having signed a very straightforward release form which I talked through with her at the time, and having completed the shoot subsequently felt it was OK to request that images she didn't approve be removed from my portfolio - and further, she seemed to think that she was entitled to have some involvement in the editing / selection of other images - also, having spent time in pre-shoot communication with another model, (and I believe my messages were very clear, I have been told that my communications are usually spot-on) on the day she had her own ideas about how the shoot should be carried out, which bore little if any resemblance to my initial communications. (and she subsequently indulged in what I have to describe as "mind games")

I gave up, and blocked both of them.

And in that regard perhaps MY standards have slipped.

But maybe a bit of time to take stock was a good thing - profile set to "away", cameras left on the shelf, indulge in a bottle (or two) of wine, feeling able to return to the fray now ;)

Those people will remain "blocked" but I have faith that they are very much a minority of madcow members
