Image screening process - is there a factsheet somewhere

Hello all,

I'm trying to understand why images I upload to the site sometime spend many hours in screening (today's for instance is 9 hours plus).  Alas, there is no search function on the forum discussions I could use to help myself to answer the following questions, surely they have been asked before.

1. what is the average length of time we can expect to stay in screening to get approved or rejected?

2. I assume no one else can see the images whilst their status is 'being reviewed'

3. If I re-upload after a re-edit, does that reset the clock for re-screening?

4. Is every image reviewed before it makes it for general view or does it have something to do with the status of the poster/target audience (public/members only)?

Any info you can help with greatly appreciated.
