Hi
I am a professional photographer living and working in the South-East of England photographing a wide range of social and commercial subjects. I have been doing photography for over 40 years and have developed a reputation of bringing a strong creative edge to any projects I undertake.
I am constantly experimenting, developing, and testing new techniques, and undertaking personal projects to challenge myself as well as maintaining my creativity. Despite a long time practising my trade in the days before digital, I now no longer shoot on film. This has allowed me to apply the best of both worlds, being able to apply many of the old skills that sometimes seem lacking in modern practices. Digital also offers far more scope for me to let my imagination run wild. To this end I have become proficient at using various pieces of software such as Photoshop, examples of which you can view on my AR-Manipulations profile also on this site.
I also do training and lecturing on the subject of photography. Over the last few years I have developed and run a course dealing with using photography as a tool to aid mental health. This has been produced and runs under the auspices of the National Health Service and Mind charities.
I am always interested in hearing from and chatting to fellow creatives, about any aspects of my work. If you have an idea or concept you feel might be of interest, please feel free to get in touch.
I hope to hear from you.
Ashley
