Hey!

I'm Tom, during the early 2000/10's I studuend my BA & MA in Fine Art. I've been very fortunate to have had both solo and group exhibitions, which included 2D/Painting and print, photographic, sound and installation works. I’m heavily influenced by a wide range of genres and styles, which skip between the cinematic to music scenes, to painting and photographic art, and architecture to graphic and fashion design. My ‘default setting’ seems to be the gritty, the colour-rich and the moody monochromes, with project’s I’m always down with creating being:

    Obscure fashion
    VERY pretty beauty and portraiture
    Art nude and bodyscapes
    Gritty grime and fetish attire
    General weirdness

My pre-shoot comms account for 40% of what I do (which seems to be picked up in every one of my references!). Designing, communicating and drilling down on theme concepts, attire and locations so we have a really good pallet to work from, and that the general idea and expectations are known well in advance.  

Another 40% of what I do is spent in post. Huddled behind screens in Photoshop making sure my alignments, 3rds, blemishes and colour schemes really pop the imagery we pull together. After all, you looking good makes me look good!! Wink

The rest of the time (I know, a meagre 20%) is the actual shoot. Chill, funny, but always professional with just a hint of wild, is how these tend to flow! Please, if you have the time do take a quick snoop through my references, apparently I’m a massive joker who makes a shoot bounce like we just hanging. All the ‘effort’ is taken care of in the pre-plan, and then finalised in post, so the shoot is always a complete blast.

After 2.5 decades of shooting have now decided to really reduce my imagery on here (aiming to focus on quality over quantity). I tend to shoot every 6-8 weeks, and interested in visually stunning and beautiful projects with people who can really throw flavour and test how I do!

I ditched the studio space quite some time ago, but my lighting and equipment is pro and portable, so shoot in woodlands, beaches, back-streets or hand-picked Airbnb spaces that offer a range of different backdrops. I totally adore what I do, always have done, and designing shoot ideas around those who I’m lucky enough to work with is all part of my ‘beautiful process’.
