Even without a model you could tramp the hills and urban wasteland looking for interesting future locations. Or keep the few commercial studios left going with a visit once a month.
Go on get your camera wet and dirty, it can be dried off and cleaned later, or buy another new one that you've always wanted and keep it gleaming in its expensive new case whilst you take the old one on adventures.
