So I'm still wondering around oblivious to about 99% of the industry. One thing that's impossible to get away from is the sheer range of photography. Aside from genre, colour and subject there are still so many variables.
I'm sure these are differences I'll adjust to as I gain more experience but my question is this:
Is there a rule of thumb to gauge objectively the quality of a photo? Anything to look out for in a picture that a less experienced photographer may overlook? Shadows, colour, direction, style?
