... and I was in need of two things: coffee (lots, of course! It IS Sunday morning!) and a shot of self-confidence.
Yep, I'd been looking through a recent set of photos I'd taken, and I was thinking just "um". They were "ok", they "weren't bad", "they'd pass", but they were nothing special.
That elusive "spark" had clearly been VERY elusive during that session :/
A bit of random web surfing delivered up a shoot which featured a tv actress (won't mention her name, but she well known on the tv screen here in the UK a few years back). Anyway - an actress being shot by a full time "pro", I thought I'd take a closer look, and "see how a pro does it" ...
... yep, I was already feeling depressed and was going to make matters worse by beating myself up about results a "real" pro achieves ...
I looked at the set and nearly fell off my seat, this "pro" photographer was clearly having a bad day as well!
Stiff, awkward, uncomfortable looking poses, in one shot the actress is perched on furniture and looks like she's scared she's going to fall off, some real cliche positioning of limbs ...
... my self confidence started to recover somewhat. Even "full time PRO" photographers can suffer an "off day"
Have a good Sunday morning everyone!
