During my recent product shoot for Pashley Cycles and my client from Great British Bike Build, I was once again reminded about the benefits of working with a professional model. In the past I have sought to reduce my costs by employing well-intentioned amateurs, and whilst there is a place for this, the truth is that this can sometimes be a false economy. During 2 hours of shooting last monday at Gloucester Quays, my model Naiya moved seamlessly from pose to pose, making great use of the bike (product) as a prop; and requiring next to no input from me. She was full of good ideas and recognised that this shoot was all about the bike. I have passed a batch of edited images to my client today and he is delighted with the outcome - excellent work and great fun! I will now be researching and testing a small group of trusted models for future work. If you live within sensible travelling distance of Gloucester, then please drop me a line.
