I am the owner of "Ian's Studio" in Stockport (http://www.ians-studio.co.uk). I regularly book models for paid work at workshops and events.

I run weekly events on Friday Nights for photographers at the studio. I also run regular full day events and workshops.

I offer both TFCD shoots and paid assignments.

TFCD and Test Shoots

I am happy to work with models on a TFCD basis if the model can enhance or add something new to my portfolio. I will also consider TFCD shoots if I am able so shoot some stock images for submission to photo libraries as part of the shoot.

Most of the models I shoot with on a TFCD basis usually go on to get paid work in the form of working at one of the regular events or workshops at my studio.

Paid Shoots

I also book models for paid shoots. I *ALWAYS* give priority to suitable models who have previously worked with me on a TFCD basis. The best way to get a paid shoot from me is to be a model who has worked with me on a TFCD shoot first.

Of course, alternatively you could consider paying me to shoot images for you portfolio! (Shock horror!) I'll even consider part payment where I will reduce my fee in return for a signed model release form and the opportunity to get a some stock images during the shoot.

Chaperones....
----------------
For your information here is my policy on the much debated subject of chaperones: The ONLY valid reason for a model requiring a chaperone is to ensure their safety. If I am working with a model by myself and the model wishes to bring a chaperone then I have no problem with it providing the chaperone behaves and does not interfere with the shoot. The desire for some models to have a chaperone when working with an unknown photographer at nude or topless levels is entirely understandable.

When I book a model for a workshop or an event at the studio, however, I DO NOT PERMIT chaperones. If a chaperone was present at the shoot, it would effectively be saying to the paying attendees of the event that the model doesn't trust me as the studio owner to ensure her safety.
