Many years in photography, but mostly scientific, technical, wildlife, landscape, ..., with some commercial, and a few newspaper and wedding shoots. Photography for web sites.

Only been dabbling in portraits, figure and glamour photography for 7 years. Loving the challenge (e.g. lighting, skin tone) and opportunities of these genres. I have been lucky enough to meet some great models, with charming personalities.

I would describe my style as naturalistic: preferring informal shots, where a model is smiling or laughing to more static 'posed' shots. So I don't tend to spend a lot of time planning a shot or setting it up. Quite a lot of mediocre shots, with the odd really fortuitous natural picture, as a result. And, yes, I am mad!

I give my models copies of images, and am happy to help fill gaps in their portfolios. I would be particularly interested in more unusual shoots (e.g. athletics, gymnastics, sport, dancing).

Note: I have a few rules (which I hope are not onerous)

1. Neither model (nor myself) will 'publish' (i.e. make publicly visible) an image unless both the model and I agree that we are happy with it being made public.
2. If any model appears to be 21 or under, I will require valid proof of age to be given before any photographs are taken on the first shoot between us. This is for both our protection and I hope you agree it is appropriate.
3. Copyright in images resides in me, unless a specific contract releases copyright to the model.

I am happy to provide a paper copy of these conditions to any model.

My 'zeroth' rule (that the shoot must be fun for both parties) is implicit of course!
