Am a semi retired artist 80yrs old based near Log Ditton Surrey. I have my own studio and paint from life and also when inspiration takes hold. My background is in Marine Aids to Navigation having worked in this field for many years back in 1980's and 1990's. Due to my knowledge in this field I often paint using my mind's eye. My work in painting the nude form is just starting having undertaken a number of Art Life Classes at Kingston University Surrey. I do not sketch and paint to a plan or a script but mainly as inspiration takes hold and then ideas burst through spontaneously. It may take 2 or 3 months to complete the painting but some of my work may even take a year or more.
