This was a homeshooting at Helen's flat organised to coincide with one of my infrequent UK visits and only only went forward due to her generosity and understanding after a slight planning mishap on my part. Extra Brownie Points earned.
Helen has been on my WTWW lists on various sites for quite a long time and we finally managed to find a window where our schedules coincided.
Helen's pre-shoot comms are excellent, with prompt responses to all messages and we finalised details with a minimum of PM ping-pong.
When shooting, Helen's experience really shows as she managed to find the poses I wanted with minimal direction and 'hit her mark' with a minimum of fine-tuning - this made the shoot as seamless as could have been hoped for and pretty much every set-up we tried worked perfectly and yielded a higher than usual bag of usable images, even though I found out afterwards I'd shot about half my usual number for a four hour shoot.
Helen is also one of the nicest and friendliest people I've had the pleasure to meet...Honestly I could have put the cameras away and just drank tea and chatted all afternoon and still come away happy. She's that kind of person.
However... She does have a dark and sinister side...
Unexpectedly and quite bizarrely, Helen somehow sabotaged my baby-oil with some voodoo witchcraft so that my water-spray didn't bead (I'd used it the previous week with no problems and it's been fine on every other shoot, so obviously Helen hexed it - or possibly she's a cyborg and baby oil reacts differently with replicant skin tissue - this would also account for her still looking like an 18 year old...). Although mildly disappointing, this gives me an ideal excuse to book another shooting to try some different formulas. I now have a 5 litre drum of glycerine sourced off Ebay...
Helen also has a slightly alarming habit of putting the milk in first with the Tea-Bags, but I'm assured by some former colleagues that this is just a regional eccentricity and I shouldn't be so judgemental...
Seriously though, Helen is as good as it gets with a fabulous face and a killer figure that you'll find impossible to get a bad angle of in any light and it was a privilege and a delight to finally get some shutter time with her.
Highly recommended and I hope this will be the first of many shoots together.

My second shoot with Helen and again an all round lovely experience. She is someone very willing to try unusual and crazy ideas and is not at all precious about the result having to be flattering or glamorous. Atruly lovely person, and intelligent, pleasant company to spend a few hours with.

I recently had the real pleasure of working with the wonderful and superbly talented Helen Stephens
on the Art Nude in the Landscapes workshop facilitated by Howard Kennedy of Photoclassic and held in the beautiful surroundings of Assynt in Scotland.
What can I say, I’m in admiration of Helen’s professionalism and creativity in what was a challenging location with changeable weather situation. No matter, Helen performed magnificently and as a result I got some truly excellent and beautiful images.
Evan when I thought I had captured the perfect image at the mini waterfalls, which I thought couldn’t be bettered, Helen simply surpassed my expectations at the next set and we captured an even better set of images.
To conclude, I have to say, if posing in a cold muddy bog with snow falling doesn’t show dedication and professionalism to the cause, then nothing ever will. All hail to the Bog Monsters !

had my first shoot today with helen what a fantastic model had a realy exceptional shoot and got some great photos she is very easy to work with and need no direction this will be my first of many shoots I hope x
Had a really excellent shoot with Helen, who completely understood the style of casual / non-glamorous images I was aiming for. Highly co-operative and helpful and generally a delight to spend time with. I will definitely be doing another shoot with her soon.
I had the great pleasure to meet and shoot with Helen for the first time at map studio the night before her studio day for her epilepsy charity as unfortunately i was not available next day so we arranged to shoot the night before.Helen was so easy to work with and communicate with prior and during the shoot the time simply flew by.We did some Edgy fetish and erotic and some glamour style shots and whatever genre it was it was done with ease and without fuss with good input for all the 3 sets and I have some amazing images.Helen brings a lot of enthusiasm to a shoot and has a great sense of style and her wigs are just awesome. Helen is a lovely girl with a bubbly personality and I guarantee that you will love working with her and i fully admire her courage to overcome her health difficulties that make her such an an amazing person as you can see that determination and iron will to succeed. I have had a wonderful half day shoot with Helen. Helen is a delightful model, willing and eager to get the required shots. Helen's great strengths are her ability to transform herself, today, she played both a man and a woman, to superb effect. Her make up skills are brilliant and we produced some excellent shots. Helen worked well with another female model, Hayley_Comet, they were able to add signicantly to the shoot with their own ideas and suggestions, which was much appreciated by this quite inexperienced photographer. I will be certainly working with Helen again.
Lovely Rachelle Summers recommended Helen to me, can't thank her enough. Helen is a perfect lady and model. We did a day shoot at the same hotel and room that I first shoot Rachelle in. Pure accident. We had an amazing day shoot, bouncing ideas off each other. Do you know when you first meet someone you have the feeling you will remain friends, that is Helen.
Helen is a lovely caring human being as well as being physically extremely beautiful. She is also an experienced, professional and top drawer model, but it's what she brings over and above just physical beauty that makes her so awesome.
I am so glad we decided to shoot in the gender neutral clothes that Helen felt most comfortable and "herself" in, as the emotion she conveys in her face when she's relaxed can be breath-taking at times. I knew she wasn't feeling 100% the day we shot, but she didn't let that impact anything we had planned. We shot out and about on the South Bank with Helen capturing the mood of what we saw and making the most of the lighting. Back in my hotel room she was even more awesome culminating in a fun shower set where she happily drenched herself with a large pack of Alpro (vegan friendly product placement there).
Helen is special. Book her. Be nice to her. You'll come away with great images and possibly a friend for life.

Helen is a wonderful model, friendly and chatty but professional in her attitude. We had a great and productive morning. Most enjoyable.

I met Helen and shot her for the first time on the 1st September 2014 on a joint shoot with Kai Yee Photography.
She is a highly enthusiastic, hard working and intuitive. She understood almost instantly what I was asking and delivered.
She is a wonderful model and gave me all of the shots that I want. She is extremely photogenic.
She brought a wide range of outfits and we were able to shoot numerous styles. She changed her look efficiently with each style.

I had a lovely shoot with Helen at the weekend at Studio RoRo and it was great working with her. She is not only a great model but also a lovely person which makes for an enjoyable shoot. She is an absolute natural in front of the camera requiring little direction. Hopefully I can arrange another shoot later which I am really looking forward to.

Wonderful Model! Beautiful and with excellent make up she was a great help to me, as an out of practice amateur photographer, as she was able to suggest various poses and displayed a lot of patience while I worried about lights and camera!
Helen is in my top five models the feed back I get from my clients is overwheming they want more of her PITY they dont put their hands in their pockets deeper!! otherwise Helen & I would be doing shoots a lot more!

Helen came round for a shoot a couple of years ago. She was very pretty, flawlessly smooth skinned with excellent makeup. She came up with moves and ideas herself, kept up energy levels throughout the shoot, and was just very keen, fun, hardworking and great company. It's good to make pictures with this girl.
Helen was the very first model I shot at my new studio and I am delighted to say she is now one of my resident models. First class.
