I did some B&W Portrait and Figure photography over 30 yrs ago, as a hobby. The colour shots were taken for a Loreal Competition in 2006.I feel it may be time to get behind a camera again, so I am re-reading Mary Allen's and John Hedgecoe's books on Portrait Photography! Initially I would like to concentrate on B&W portraits, either indoors or out. (I am quite willing to do colour too, if that suits.) I am happy to take shots at home, where I have a simple studio (with tungsten lighting, or using daylight), and a secluded garden outside, or I am able to travel to the Glasgow area. If a model would like to have a chaperone present, that's fine with me. Eventually I would like to do more B&W figure work, with the right model. I really like John Swannell's Naked Landscape, Lucien Clergue's Nudes and some of Bob Carlos Clarke's work. I have just found my copy of Terence Donovan's 'Glances' - oh to be able to create images like those! At the moment I would prefer to trade digital pics for time, because I'm short of liquid funds !
