My name is Christopher Gatelock and I am a professional multimedia artist and photographer. I have been doing this kind of work for many years and owned several art galleries and studios in the states as well as one in Somerset for a short while before moving to Scotland. I have another Purpleport account here under my name if you would like to take a look at some of my older nude work. I have been traveling for the last few years and as such I haven't been doing very much in the studio. I am settled now and have the new studio up and running and ready to get back into producing studio based nude art. I am renting out my studio for the first time in my career. In the past, I have only used my studio for doing my own work, so this will be a fun, new undertaking for me.

I now have a studio, located near Helensburgh, completely equipped with an array of quality, hi-tech professional studio equipment and the ability to create virtually anything in the way of sets and backgrounds. Some outside shooting is available in our large garden space behind the house. In addition, we offer a number of props, makeup, and costumes that are available for use by studio rental photographers and models. We have additional rooms with Victorian furniture, etc. for possible sets. We also have a large collection of women's vintage clothing available to rental photographers and their models at no additional charge. We always have an endless supply of tea and hospitality. Whatever you want to create we should have the equipment and the expertise to accomplish the task. 

                                           

                                       Rates for photographer and model studio rental :

                                                     £20 per hour - two hour minimum 

                                                     £70 half day (4 hr.)

                                                     £135 full day (8 hr.)

               

There is a £20 non-refundable deposit on studio reservations at the time of reservation. Remaining rental balances must be paid prior to the shoot.

All equipment listed on the Equipment List is available for use conducting shoots. We do not supply camera equipment or computers for tethered shoots. We have the necessary harnesses for shooting tethered, but the photographer must use his own laptop. If a photographer needs a special piece of equipment for their shoot please notify us prior to the shoot to see if we have the piece or something to give the same results. Please do not bring any studio equipment to the shoot without prior approval.

I will be on set and available to assist less experienced photographers if needed, on a limited basis.

I will be glad to assist those less experienced with their shoots for a "possible" training fee of £10 per hour. This depends on how much help is needed. I will not charge anything for simple things. I am not out to nickel and dime someone to death. If you know you will be needing extra help due to inexperience please tell me beforehand. I really enjoy teaching and may not charge anything to help unless it is a situation in which I end up doing most everything in the shoot. Time is money.

All renters are expected to know how to operate a DSLR camera out of the "auto" mode and how to operate basic studio lighting equipment. If in doubt, tell me and we can discuss what level of help you will need to do the shoot. 

Models wishing to reserve the studio for their own hosted shooting events are most welcome to do so and should email or call us for pricing information on renting the studio for personal shooting events. We are delighted to work with models on these kinds of shoots.

 

On model hosted events the invited photographers are to abide by the same rules as the rental photographers with no exceptions concerning their level of experience.

Rental time begins at the reserved time slot made by the renter. I want to make sure my renters get the best experience for their money so I will donate a limited amount of time on having the anticipated equipment needed for the shoot, (back drops, soft boxes, strobes, light modifiers, etc.) ready to be used or set up prior to the shoot, if asked by the renters in advance.

Studio renters are liable for the cost of replacement or repair of any equipment damaged as a result of accident or negligence while renting Imagine Studios. This liability extends to the studio as well as any other areas outside of the studio used during the shoot. If there is any doubt as to how to properly use any equipment the renter should notify us immediately for help.
