(edit my profile notes)
I was introduced to photography by my father who was in the Fire Service. Together with his usual firefighting duties he was responsible for photographing fire damaged premises. At the age of about 12, during school holidays, I used to help develop and contact print the 21/4" square black and white negatives. Selected images were then enlarged to a minimum of 10x8.
Over subsequent years I have used a number of the photographic formats as they 'appeared'. Polaroid, 110, 35mm, APS, medium format etc.
The introduction of autofocus by Minolta influenced my decision to buy into their system, the 7000. Having purchased a number of Minolta bodies, lenses and accessories over the years have stuck with this 'stable' and now use the Sony Alpha900 digital camera. Not yet accepted in the professional world I know, but with what is considered the clearest, and true 100% viewfinder, coupled with the 'G' and Zeiss lenses gives me all I need.
I work out of my own studio, on here as The Cottage Studio near Henfield/Horsham. Website
