Worked with MuffMerkin today for the first time, a very nice man and very easy to talk to and get along with are 4 hour shoot flew by.
he was 3o mins late due to traffic but did text me to left me know. MuffMerkin knew upfront that i had a male chaperon and he was fine with this as chaperon was not even in the same room. And also he was willing to leave a deposit for shoot as had explained i take deposits for bookings. Very good communication before shoot i asked him how he wanted hair and make up and what outfits he wanted so i was already for when he arrived. I really hope to work with MuffMerkin again x

For my second foray into location shoots I went to JayneStar in Dagenham, who had had a cancellation. I was due to see her in March, but with my cancellation I was available. I checked my mobile lighting and this time I had packed the bulb…
I won’t delve into the horrors of the M25 but the journey (very straightforward in theory) took me 2½ hours there and I was late as a consequence. Worse was to come as it took me over 3 hours to get back.
Jayne is easy to work with and takes direction well. The room was big enough to accommodate me and the light and had various areas where image making was interesting.
At one point I needed to check to see if my video recorder had actually worked and I popped into their office to access my memory card. Her ‘chaperone’ obliged and my camcorder had worked. For those worried by a chaperone, fret not as I didn’t realise anyone else was at home.
Jayne suggested that we break each hour down into stills followed by video and I managed several themed sessions as a result. Good stuff.
I am hoping to get back during the Summer to do something outside. Perhaps I’ll get her to come to me as it’s simple by train…
