I am originally from a graphic design background and this is reflected in my work,
I have been designing book covers for over 15 years now and most of my photography is for the covers that I design
I trick many of my images up in photoshop and most of my pictures have a slight illustrative quality about them. I have always been drawn to photography from an early age and used to keep scrapbooks of my favorite photographs and styles, but I could never afford the film cameras. Then when everything went digital I got involved and have never looked back.
Many elements are involved in producing good images including luck, opportunity, determination, persistence, hard work, and of course artistic and technical ability. For me, inspiration comes from many sources underpinned by many years of experience
in the commercial world and of just looking and seeing.
Over the years I have been influenced not so much by photographers (although there are many
whose work I admire), but by cinematography, film and gaming posters, and book covers.
I hope through my images to capture emotion, drama, mood, or atmosphere that tells the viewer a story or an idea.
All of my images that have been created have just one overriding objective in mind - to help designers and art directors help their clients and companies to sell more books.
I hope I can help you to do just that.
I am looking for models to shoot with who are interested in book cover work (this can be quite stylized) this could be dressing up in period costumes, soldiers, uniforms, or just contemporary fashion entire, whatever the brief from the publisher requires
So if my work interests you and you are serious about shooting please feel free to contact me!
I often need models, both male & female, to work on various projects that arise. I don't waste people's time and if I contact you it's because I have a genuine offer of work
