I have established portfolios on a number well-known modelling sites and have acquired a considerable amount of positive feedback from the models with whom I have worked.
I shoot mostly glamour, art nude and erotic nude images and I choose not to shoot in studios as far as possible. Most of my portfolio shots were taken in models' own homes and whilst this can be challenging I find it makes for a more relaxed and natural shoot.
Here are a few things I look for when shooting:
A relaxed and collaborative atmosphere. Particularly on a first shoot with a new model I rarely arrive with a preconceived idea of what I want. I like to meet the model and then we'll decide between us what is going to work.
I am looking to create beautiful, erotic images. I'm not interested in creating images of implied voilence or exploitation.
I like to work with models who are comfortable being themselves and not what they think a model should be.
Confidence and trust. I always check out a model's feedback on here and on other portfolio sites and I would expect them to do the same with me. Good, clear pre-shoot communication and a frank agreement of levels and limits are essential. If I'm not sure about you or you about me then we should not work together.
Because I shoot mainly for my own web site I don't have to fit in with someone else's narrow stereotype of what is beautiful, erotic or sexy. I'm always looking for the different, the remarkable, the unconventional.
I am generally offering paid assignments to models for web publication but I am also happy to do portfolio shoots for new models - particularly for aspiring models who are a bit different or might be considered not "typical" model material.
